Madonna’s ‘MDNA’: Anti-Drug Group Not Ecstatic Over Album Title

What’s in a name? (Or, in this case, an album title?) When Madonna announced on a soon-to-be-aired episode of The Graham Norton Show that her upcoming LP is called MDNA, the first thought that came to our mind was drugs — in particular: ecstasy (known scientifically as methylenedioxymethamphetamine, or MDMA). Apparently we weren’t the only ones, as Lucy Dawe of the UK-based anti-drug charity Cannabis Skunk Sense has blasted Madonna’s choice of title was “an ill advised decision”. We’re guessing Lucy’s not a big fan of Ke$ha or Rihanna‘s artistic endeavors, either? [NME]
