We’ve met practically every Glee character’s parents besides Rachel’s two gay dads, who have been alluded to on the show since the pilot but have yet to actually appear. Finally, we will get to meet Mr. and Mr. Berry — Jeff Goldblum and Broadway veteran Brian Stokes Mitchell will play Rachel’s two adoptive fathers, Hiram and LeRoy Berry.

Both Goldblum and Mitchell will sing on the Valentine’s Day episode, which is titled “Heart”. Mitchell has appeared in many Broadway shows over the years, including Ragtime, Man Of La Mancha, Jelly’s Last Jam, and Kiss Me Kate (for which he won a Tony Award). Here he is singing “Impossible Dream” from Man Of La Mancha below:

Though Jeff Goldbum is more well known for his roles in movies like The Fly, Jurassic Park and Independence Day, he is also an accomplished jazz pianist. And he’s also got a good sense of humor, as evidenced by this Funny Or Die video of him performing at Coachella:

Do you approve of these two actors as Rachel’s dads? And, much like Mike’s overbearing Asian parents and Santana’s salsa-pushing Hispanic abuela, should we expect Rachel’s parents to be total stereotypes, too?
