I just learned of Whitney Houston’s passing at 11:00pm (2-11-12) while at a J Moss concert at Yesha Fellowship Hall in Philly. My mouth just dropped when my sister told me of the text she had received about Whitney…shocking news!!!!! She will truly be missed!!! I have enjoyed her music for many years and especially her performance in “The Preacher’s Wife” which I watch not only around the Christmas holiday but every chance I get, since I actually own an old VHS tape of it. Although I enjoy the theme of the movie, I especially like the song Whitney sings towards the end of the movie…I can feel the Spirit of God and His anointing on her vocal cords when she belts out the lyrics to “I Love the Lord, I really do love the Lord, He heard my cry….” and when she gets to the part of …I’ll hasten, I’ll hasten to His throne, I know I can go, I’ll hasten to His throne.” She sings that song with confidence in the relationship with the one she belongs to, her Creator, Almighty God!

As a Christian, I truly believe that is where she is right now, in the presence of the Lord, because I believe Whitney Houston loved the Lord given the seeds that were planted by her mother a long time ago, and God loved her back. So, I know he is saying welcome home to his daughter. My prayers are with her mom Cissy Houston who I met in Newark, NJ @ New Hope Church during her choir direction days, and daughter, Bobbi Kristina and the entire family. Remember, cry if you must, but then rejoice because she has new life with Christ!!! Rest In Peace, Whitney! We love and miss you very much! :)

    Whitney you will be missed.
Your voice touched the very core of my soul, only God can bless people with that kind of talent, and though you struggled towards the end of your life- your existence was not in vain.
May God who loves all his creations continue to bless you in the Hereafter.
R.I.P, to a beautiful woman who had the voice of an angel.
    We love you Whitney

so many times we are so ungrateful for the little small things and forget that our God never do things to hurt us on purpose. reason i say this is because whitney have been an inspiration in my life. many songs she have sang, alot of tears she probably have shed, her drug recovery. when the day that i found out that she was back singing again i was happy for this lady because i knew she had a fight and she was going to pull herself back together and be herself again. she did that. her songs she sang was always putting thoughts in my mind asking myself is this lady singing this song to me. i felt that way. whitney is in peace now. her stressful days are over. just so sad she had to leave so soon. lady queen rest and remember that God is watching over your daughter and he will protect her. your memories will make her a better woman. because she saw her hurt, her tears, her struggle. trust me readers she will be alright (whitney daughter). R.I.P Whitney Houston!!!!! so sad right now

It’s a shame a beautiful person such as Whitney Houston with so much beauty and talent to have past away at such a young age. My heart goes out to her daughter and her family members. In one way or another you music has touched the lives of those who are in the music industry or just your fans in general. May your music live on for a very long time. There is a saying that goes like this “only the good die young”

This message goes out to those who are married or for those who are dating. Men take care of your wife or girl friend, and do not put her in a situation that she is forced or pressured to do something that will destroy her life. On the contrary, take care of her as if she is more precious than life itself.
