Whitney Houston’s Funeral: Stevie Wonder Sings “Ribbons In The Sky”
Scores of mourners gathered at New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey to honor the life and music of Whitney Houston, and many more paid tribute from home watching the service streamed live. It was one week ago today that the legendary diva passed away in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton, and following Jennifer Hudson’s heartfelt rendition of “I Will Always Love You” at the Grammys, one of Houston’s peers paid another fitting tribute with “Ribbon in the Sky” — Stevie Wonder, who retooled the lyrics in honor of Whitney.
