Kid Cudi’s ‘Hunger Games’ Song ‘The Ruler & The Killer’: Listen
The Hunger Games soundtrack is sure to be one of the biggest soundtracks of 2012 – and one of the most distressing. We’ve got not one but two songs by Taylor Swift that are the farthest thing from bright and cheery, and today comes Kid Cudi’s contribution, “The Ruler & The Killer”. And true to morbid Cudder fashion, the tune is fairly haunting. Listen below.
A frantic drum beat kicks off the track, with Cudi’s moaning and chanting creating a sense of dread. “You’ll talk, you’ll say nothing, okay?” commands Mr. Rager.
This is the second film soundtrack Cudi has been featured on in the past 12 months – his song “No One Believes Me” was featured on the Fright Night soundtrack last Summer.
The Hunger Games official soundtrack drops March 20, and the film opens in theaters March 23.
