Talk about some March Madgeness. In addition to our very own tournament in which we pit the best of Madonna’s videos against each other, we’re also getting MDNA snippets galore. Today’s is the Martin Solveig production “I Don’t Give A,” notable for a couple reasons — first, it marks the LP’s second feature of “Starship” beach babe Nicki Minaj, and second, it contains the lyric: “I tried to be a good girl, I tried to be your wife,” a rare moment of personal reflection (on her marriage to Guy Ritchie) on an album that otherwise doesn’t seem to dole out depth and dance beats in equal measure. If you give a…, head below to hear the clip. Madonna featuring Nicki Minaj — “I Don’t Give A”

It’s nice to hear Nicki Minaj given a bit more room to do her Nicki Minaj thing, which was all too brief on “Give Me All Your Luvin.” But is it just us, or did anyone else have a Rebecca Black “gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal” flashback when Madonna sings: “gotta sign the contract, gotta get my money back”? (Probably just us.) Overall, a solid track — we can’t wait to hear it in full.
