We sure are glad The Wanted came to these shores to add a little extra Anglo appeal to our radio airwaves and TV screens. And in the lead-up to the April 24 release of the band’s US debut album, the quintet will be debuting a new song each week on iTunes. First up is their UK Top 10 hit “Gold Forever”, which was actually released overseas last March and served as the official 2011 Comic Relief charity single in England (hence the red noses worn by the party-goers in the song’s video). Watch below!
The Wanted — ”Gold Forever”
“Gold Forever”, which was written by Steve Mac, Wayne Hector, Claude Kelly and produced by Mac, actually appeared on The Wanted’s second UK album Battleground. The song peaked at #3 on the UK chart a year ago this month.
Do you think “Gold Forever” has what it takes to become the boy band’s second big US hit?
