A Kelly Clarkson concert doesn’t need to involve costume changes or backup dancers or ostentatious set pieces to keep everyone entertained — all Kelly’s fans need is that impeccable voice, which was loud and proud during her Stronger tour stop at the Nokia Theatre at LA Live last night (April 3). Blake Shelton, Reba McEntire, Michelle Branch and Tamyra Grey all joined the pop star on stage for her show, but nobody shined brighter than Kelly — even with a pulled groin. “I hate the gym!” she delightfully screamed to the sold-out crowd after revealing her slightly embarrassing injury.

Kelly spent a significant amount of time during her concert engaging with the crowd and delivering some awesome one-liners. (“I work oooout!” she said, referencing LMFAO’s tune while shaking her booty.)

Our favorite Kelly quote of the night, though? “Don’t piss me off, I’ll write some shit!” she declared after singing a stripped down version of “Never Again”, from her album My December. (“Congratulations! You’re one of the 35 people who bought it!” she said when fans applauded at the mention of her  third album. So hilariously self-deprecating!)

We know it’s not the same thing as seeing her live, but check out pics of Clarkson rocking out on stage in our gallery. And head here to watch Kelly covering Britney Spears, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.
