Nelly Furtado’s ‘The Spirit Indestructible’ Gets June Release Date

The pop gods have answered our prayers, and “Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)” singer ‘s English-language followup to 2006 album Loose now has an official name and release date. Turns out T.S.I. stands for The Spirit Indestructible, and the LP is scheduled to arrive on June 19. Nelly co-wrote each song on the album. She also worked with an array of producers on her new material, including Salaam Remi, Rodney Jerkins (who produced “Big Hoops”), Bob Rock, Tiesto, John Shanks and Da Genius. The album’s deluxe version will contain several bonus tracks, including ones Furtado collaborated on with Fraser T. Smith, Passion Pit lead singer Mike Angelakos and a song featuring the Kenyan Boys Choir that Nelly produced herself.
