M.I.A.‘s “music” for the opening credits of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange’s new talk show from his couch, The World Tomorrow, has arrived, and well, it’s not really music at all. Instead M.I.A. created a 30-second dubstep instrumental, all wub-wub-wubbing and tinny drum hits. In the finished intro, images of politicians, cable news talking heads and a live demonstration featuring that ubiquitous Guy Fawkes mask flash on screen as the show’s host offers the following voice-over:

“I’m Julian Assange, editor of WikiLeaks. We’ve exposed the world’s secrets, been attacked by the powerful. For 500 days now, I’ve been detained without charge, but that hasn’t stopped us. Today, we’re on a quest for revolutionary ideas that can change the world tomorrow.”

The “Bad Girls” singer has long been a proponent of Assange, who is under house arrest in the U.K. pending charges of sexual assault. M.I.A.’s 2010 Vicki Leekx mixtape (say it out loud and you’ll get it) was inspired by the controversial figure. She may appear as a guest on the show, which airs on the Russian network RT and is available for online viewing here, in an upcoming episode.
