Adam Levine Gets Animated For Maroon 5’s “Payphone” Lyric Video

Watch Video
The promotional push behind Maroon 5 and Wiz Khalifa‘s new single “Payphone” has been full steam ahead since the song premiered Monday (Apr. 16). After the uptempo breakup anthem made it’s world debut live on The Voice last night, “Payphone” got its very own official lyric video complete with anime-style graphics. Drawn in panels to look like a comic book, the video features a spiky haired and extra jacked hero — presumably a not-too-far-off version of M5 frontman Adam Levine — who switches between reminiscing about his ex-girlfriend and harnessing his chi to beat up zombies and arch villains. Keep an eye out for the mini cartoon Wiz around the 2:40 mark and then tell us below or on Twitter and Facebook what you thought of clip. (We think it’s cute.)

My girlfriend Myranda loves this so much every time I call her I play it for her to remind her of her life….. shes a BIG fan of Adam Levine; that I’m going to try to draw the part of him looking down at that girl’s pic. but instead of that girl that’s already drawn on there I’m going to draw her….. I used to hate Maroon 5….. cuz I like COUNTRY like: Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton, and Miranda Lambert…. but when I say to her Miranda Shelton she gets pissed off so much that by calming her down I have to say Adam Levine or Maroon 5 ROCKS!!!

This is the worst illustration work I’ve ever seen. Does anyone know who drew this?
