In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Selena Gomez offered up some interesting insights about Revival and growing into her pop star role, but she also said she’s done talking about Justin Bieber, so of course that’s what everyone will be talking about.

Specifically, she was asked about Bieber’s November “My Girl” serenade in a hotel bar, and quickly shut down that line of questioning. “Well, I am sorry, first of all. And honestly, what I would love to be printed is that I am so beyond done with talking about that, and him.”

Gomez also discussed her cameo in The Big Short and revealed that the first CD she ever bought was a Britney Spears album.

On her first concert: “I was 11 or 12. I’m from Texas, so it was in Dallas. We couldn’t really afford to do any of that stuff, but my mom had been saving up because it was the first CD I ever bought. I was absolutely obsessed with Britney. We were in the nosebleeds – it was just … it was awesome.”

On her first album: “Well, it’s complicated to make an artist out of thin air, and I think the first album was a little bit like that. Not to say that I wasn’t passionate about music. My dad was a DJ, my mom was obsessed with every type of music possible, and I was on Barney for two seasons, singing with a purple dinosaur.”

On putting Revival together in Mexico: “The label thought I just wanted a free vacation. I was like, ‘No, I want to get the same group of people, I want us to live together, I want us to wake up and have breakfast together and talk about real things’…We did four songs there. Only two ended up making the record, but that trip was so crucial. I was just figuring out what I wanted to say.”

On performing at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show: “Man, it makes you want to work out and not eat anything. I did feel really short, but it was really fun. And the pressure wasn’t all on me. It was great to be able to dance with these beautiful women.”
