Glee‘s Whitney Houston tribute episode, titled, “Dance With Somebody” after one of the pop icon’s biggest hits, airs on April 24, and today we get a sneak peak at one of the eight songs covered by the cast: Amber Riley, Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Naya Rivera honor the late singer on “How Will I Know”. The a cappella arrangement is beautiful and understated, but the Whitney shrine in Mercedes’ locker and the melancholy expressed by high-school students who weren’t even alive when Whitney was at her prime is a bit much for us. Then again, so is an entire Whitney Houston tribute episode only two months after her passing. But that’s us — tell us your thoughts below.

  1. Love the arrangement. ]

The fact they weren’t alive at Whitney’s peak doesn’t mean they can’t be inspired by her talent. When I was a young “artist” there were many classic pop songs/singers I was introduced to by the people around me or “found.”
