Adele And LMFAO Lead The 2012 Billboard Music Awards Finalists
The Billboard Music Awards is a Top 40 fan’s dream come true, and the list of the 2012 finalists is filled with the artists who were all but unavoidable in the last year. Adele and LMFAO lead the pack with 18 and 17 nods, respectively. (Who’s hoping for a “Rumour Has It”/”Sexy And I Know It” mash-up at the ceremony?) Rihanna comes up next with 13 nods (still an impressive amount, though in 2011 she was the frontrunner with 18), and Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne tie with spots in 10 categories. The 2012 Billboard Music Awards will take place on May 20 in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand. Tickets are now on sale at Ticketmaster.com and MGMGrand.com. The show will be broadcast live on ABC at 8 p.m. EST the same night.
