The Wanted’s “Satellite”: Listen To The Ryan Tedder-Produced Song

In addition to new single “Chasing The Sun”, The Wanted have another original song on their debut American EP in the form of the soaring dance-pop jam “Satellite”. The song, produced by Ryan Tedder, was co-written by Tedder, Evan Bogart and Noel Zancanella, and features the quintet professing their love to the object of their affection atop a bed of synths and an insistent beat. “When we touch we get so high like a satellite, I don’t wanna come down, I just want you love now,” The Wanted declare on “Satellite”. With “Chasing The Sun” and “Satellite” serving as the new songs on The Wanted’s US debut, the rest of the EP is made up of tracks that appeared on the band’s first two UK albums, The Wanted and Battleground — songs like “Lightning”, “Heart Vacancy” and “Gold Forever”.

But while those tracks earned the quintet success abroad, it’s clear they’re aiming for a more mature, dance-oriented sound similar to “Glad You Came” with their new material, as opposed to the mid-tempo pop of their first UK singles.
