Karmin’s New Song “Hello”: Idolator Premiere

Insanely cute pop couple Karmin have built up quite a following over the past year — not to mention scored a sizable chart hit with their bouncy jam “Brokenhearted” — and now the duo’s fans are looking forward to their major label debut LP Hello, which arrives next week (May 8). Quite simply, Karmin chose the title “because it’s our introduction album,” they noted on Twitter.

But while you wait for the record to drop, we’ve got a special treat in the form of its title track, “Hello”, which you can greet by clicking play after the jump!

Stargate, who you know from whipping up chart-topping hits like Rihanna‘s “What’s My Name”, Wiz Khalifa‘s “Black And Yellow” and Katy Perry‘s “Firework”, also produced the track.

In fact, we dig that “Hello” contains similar other-worldly synths to those in “What’s My Name”, but also manages to maintain that distinct Karmin edge. “Racetrack, two legs / Hollywood, big break / suck it up, intake / let me tell you how it happened real quick,” Amy raps on the autobiographical tune.
