Will.i.am is currently serving as a coach on the UK version of The Voice, and perhaps all the time spent in Britain has caused the Black Eyes Peas member to soak up some of the country’s more obscure dance tunes. Take, for instance, Will’s new single “This Is Love”, which premiered today on Capital FM. The Steven Angello-produced song bears more than a passing resemblance to Uniting Nations’ 2005 One World album track “She’s Special” — particularly the house piano melody. Compare below.

Here’s will.i.am’s “This Is Love”:

You may recall that Uniting Nations had a sizable worldwide club hit eight years ago with their cover of Hall & Oates’ “Out Of Touch”. Their full album contained some fairly decent dance-pop jams (like “She’s Special”), alas, the duo pretty much peaked with “Out Of Touch”.
