Ne-Yo Releases New Single “Lazy Love” Off ‘R.E.D.’ Album: Listen

Ne-Yo was probably only hoping for good vibes surrounding his upcoming fifth studio album R.E.D., but no album release comes without controversy. The R&B singer recently got some heat for the name of his album, as rapper Game came out with similarly-titled LP (The R.E.D. Album) just last year. None of that heat, though, came from Game, who seems cool with the “Let’s Go” artist using a similar album title: “I dont know what that’s about, but I’ve always known Ne-Yo to be a cool dude, so I’m pretty sure he got his reasoning,” he told XXL mag.

It’s not often we see two artists avoiding a beef. Well done, guys. Now let’s enjoy the first musical offering off of R.E.D., the mellow jam “Lazy Love”.

Mark your calendars now, people: R.E.D. — which stands for “Realizing Every Dream” — drops on September 18, and includes production by Jim Jonsin, RedOne, Stargate and more. Check out the tracklisting:
