‘Battleship’ Opened Today, So We’re Live Tweeting It!

For the last few months, we’ve followed Rihanna across the globe as she promoted the release of Battleship. (Seriously, when RiRi sings “I’ve been everywhere, man” in “Where Have You Been” she means it.) We’ve made sure to keep tabs on the Talk That Talk singer as on-set photos, movie posters and trailers surfaced like stealth submarines. And now that the feature has sailed into theaters, we need to see it for ourselves. Sure, Rotten Tomatoes currently has the popcorn flick with a stinking — or should we say sinking — 36% score, but hopefully we’ll find a way to agree with the critics who found a few kind words to say about the pop star in her role as Petty Officer Raikes. (No, that’s not a typo. And, yes, we agree it should be Pretty Officer Raikes). Basically, we’re just keeping our fingers crossed that she utters a single “Eh!” in the course of the film’s two hour and 10 minute running time.
