Thanks to some early buzz and a short yet amazingly received Coachella set, Azealia Banks been picking up steam the first half off 2012. With her 4-track EP 1991 out today, as well as a mixtape set for next month and some high-profile collaborations on the way, it’s obvious the party has only just started for the Harlem rapper. Listen to two tracks off her debut EP below, and hear the other half of the album by hitting up iTunes. (Don’t even think about downloading it illegally — “If you download #1991EP illegally your parents will immediately combust,” tweeted the rapper. Heed her warning!)

“I be doin me / but these bitches can’t breathe,” spits out AB. Make room everybody, Azealia has arrived.

The 1991 EP also includes the tracks “Liquorice” and her breakthrough tune, the bawdy “212”. And if this wasn’t quite enough Azealia to fill your day, the MC also appears on the Scissor Sisters‘ latest album Magic Hour (also out today) on track “Shady Love”.
