Keane’s Acoustic “Disconnected” Video: Idolator Premiere
Earlier this month, Keane‘s LP Strangeland became their fourth Top 20 entry on Billboard‘s Top 200 album chart (including the band’s 2010 EP Night Train). Today we bring you the premiere of an acoustic video the quartet shot for “Disconnected”, the album’s second single. While the studio version is a lush piano-driven number spruced up with frontman Tom Chaplin’s reverb-heavy vocals, the acoustic vid showcases the UK band in a much more organic state as they play their instruments live in their own Sea Fog studio, in East Sussex, England. Watch above.
Keane spent the better part of a year crafting their fourth album Strangeland. In some ways, the material found on the record marks a return to the melodic pop that was present on their 2004 breakthrough debut Hopes & Fears — and “Disconnected”, in its studio form, is no exception.
