John Mayer can pop a bottle over the fact that the singer-songwriter’s Born And Raised has become his third chart-topping LP. Mayer’s first album in three years debuts atop the Billboard Top 200 on the strength of 219,000 copies sold, and sends last week’s #1, Adam Lambert‘s Trespassing (22,000), tumbling down to #11.

Still, that’s better than Lambert’s buddy Kris Allen fared — the former American Idol winner’s second major label effort Thank You Camellia limps onto the chart at #25 (16,000). Allen’s previous, self-titled LP reached #11 on the chart in 2009, the year he took the Idol crown.

Elsewhere, former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash rocks in at #4 with second solo album Apocalyptic Love (38,000), Christian act MercyMe debut at #7 with Hurt & The Healer (33,000) and Sara Bareilles makes a #8 entrance with EP Once Upon Another Time (31,000).
