Last Saturday (May 26), millions across Europe (and those of us with an Internet feed here in the States) tuned in for the annual Eurovision Song Contest broadcasting live from host city — and 2011 winner — Baku, Azerbaijan. It was there that a thick-banged siren Loreen stunned the globe with her phenomenal performance of the infectious tune “Euphoria” coming in first place by a whopping 113 points (ahead of Buranovskiye Babushki, the adorable singing, baking grandmothers of Russia).
Yesterday, the 28-year-old Swede had a warm homecoming as she took over a balcony in Stockholm and serenaded a massive crowd of fans with her famous tune on Sweden’s SVT. While Loreen left her signature Tai Chi-inspired dance moves at home, she did mix things up by opening with a live string trio before tearing into her EDM hit.
