In the first few years of his career, Chris Brown was mostly known and well liked for his phenomenal dancing and guilt-free pop/R&B tunes, like his debut #1 single “Run It”. It all changed for Brown in 2009, when he assaulted his then-girlfriend Rihanna, and he immediately became a divisive figure, despised by some, and loved by the many who hated those who hated him.

Though the impact of his violent outburst ultimately hasn’t effected his album sales or his career prospects — everyone, including Rihanna, is itching to work with him, and he scored his first #1 album with 2011′s Grammy-winning F.A.M.E. — it seems like ever since, Brown can’t seem to keep away from controversy. Whether it’s how he dealt with the aftermath of the attack, his aggressive blowups on Twitter, or the multitude of other feuds, beefs and questionable situations he’s involved himself in, the “Don’t Wake Me Up” artist has become a magnet for making headlines — and new enemies. Check out a timeline of Chris’s most controversial moments from his career, and let it be known, this is not a complete list.

  1. All of us will be a lot better off when this idiot takes his last bow and finally leaves the stage…for good!

We would be better off if you stay retired and start smoking on your pipe old fellow. He immediately did not become a divisive figure. OKAY! What you say about him and trying to make him out what he are not. All you haters, quick judging people. C.B. Life goes on. LOL

And what is wrong with breeding PITBULLS……as long as they are for ownership and not fighting. I believe you people are to deep in Chris’s business and should get some lives

MUCH RESPECT JOHN, THAT IS SO TRUE……BECAUSE IN MY OPINION I FEEL TODAY’S HIP-HOP IS MISSING THE MARK AS TO WHAT I GREW UP ON…….SELF RESPECT AND UPLIFTING OUR COMMUNITIES WAS HIP HOPS STANCE. I’M NOT A HATER OF TODAY’S HIP-HOP, JUST NOT A DEEP FAN.

I am so sick and tired of reading about unfit/misfit persona’s that deserve no recognition both for their inapt social behavior and limited “talent” .
    The public deserves better representation!!!
