Lil Wayne Teams Up With Big Sean For “My Homies Still”

Lil Wayne is celebrating his friends in the midst of making new enemies. Weezy’s new song “My Homies Still” — the first single from his forthcoming sequel album, I Am Not A Human Being Pt. 2 — surfaced online today (June 1), and the behind-the-scenes story of the tune may be more noteworthy than the song itself.

“My Homies Still” features G.O.O.D. Music member Big Sean, as well as his “Go Stupid” hook from his hit “Dance (A$$)”, despite the fact that Weezy recently threw some shade at Sean’s G.O.O.D. family member Pusha T in a new song “Ghoulish“, a response to the diss Pusha may have thrown at Weezy and Drake on his track “Exodus 23:1”. A highly public rap beef — what a novel concept!

“That was a great song that was made before that situation happened,” Young Money president Mack Maine told MTV News about a potential Young Money/G.O.O.D. Music feud. “I’m not ’bout to go into the studio and tell Wayne to take [Big Sean] off. Wayne not tryna take him off – he’s good peeps, he’s fam.”

Between this and Madonna‘s smarmy knock at Lady Gaga during her MDNA live show, all these bitchy back-and-forth jabs are getting us down. Can’t you all just get along — or at least keep the feuding out of your music?
