Elton John Worries About “Frail” Lady Gaga

Elton John recently suffered a health scare when he was hospitalized for a respiratory infection, but the “Tiny Dancer” artist is now expressing concern for Lady Gaga‘s well-being. “I look at Gaga and I think, ‘How does she do it?'” he told The Guardian. “I talk to her mum and dad about it. They worry.”

“She is frail, and she doesn’t eat when she should do, and she’s a girl, and it’s tougher for a girl,” he continues. “She works really hard. She will be in Denmark one night and Saudi Arabia the next. I know how tiny she is and I do worry about her, yes.”

Gaga has yet to comment on John’s concerns regarding her health, but it is known that she has struggled with body issues before. She revealed at a women’s conference in February that she suffered with bulimia as a teenager. She’s also been working out nonstop to prepare for her Born This Wall Ball (currently touring through Asia), and caused a bit of a controversy in April after tweeting, “Just killed back to back spin classes. Eating a salad dreaming of a cheeseburger #PopSingersDontEat.”

Gaga is not only a close friend to Elton and his partner David Furnish — she’s also godmother to the couple’s son, Zachary.  The two pop stars have collaborated several times, including performances at the 2010 Grammy Awards and Sting’s annual Rainforest fundraiser. The two have also contributed a song, “Hello Hello”, to the animated film Gnomeo & Juliet (though it was cut from the official soundtrack). The two are clearly close, and we hope that if Elton is really concerned about her health, he talks to her about it, and not just the press.

Though Elton may worry about Gaga, she’s got someone else looking out for her as well: actor Taylor Kinney, who is back together with the pop star, reports Us Weekly. “They are going to try and make it work even with her crazy schedule,” the source says, claiming that Kinney has joined the singer on her tour through Asia. “Gaga realized she missed him.”
