Nelly Furtado Releases Homemade “Big Hoops” Video, Featuring Even Bigger Hoops
When you’re a well-known artist who’s been off the radar for the better part of a decade, just one music video for your new single will not do. That’s why Nelly Furtado has released an alternate “Home Made” video for “Big Hoops (Bigger The Better),” featuring her most ginormous hoops yet. For this cut, Nelly leaves the stilts and Godzilla-like shenanigans at home in favor of hanging out with a bunch of skateboarders at magic hour, complete with awkward dancing.
The new clip alternates between some pretty cool visuals that would have been welcome in the original “Big Hoops” vid, as well as a few shots and effects that certainly do betray the project’s “Home Made” origins. Sorry, Nelly, but when it comes to music video budgets, we like ’em like we like our hoops — the bigger the better.
