Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” Reaches #1 On The Hot 100

This is crazy, and only because it took so long — Carly Rae Jepsen‘s incessantly covered (for good or for bad) hit single “Call Me Maybe” has now reached the top spot on the Hot 100, with Gotye and Kimbra‘s “Somebody That I Used To Know” slipping down to #2 after eight weeks at #1. This is the first time a female singer topped the charts with her debut single since Ke$ha claimed the top spot with “TiK ToK” in 2010. And let’s hope the similarities between Carly and Ke$ha end there.

Head below for the full list of the current Top 10 songs in the US.
