R. Kelly Owes Nearly $5 Million In Back Taxes
Lauryn Hill isn’t the only music artist in some serious trouble with the IRS. R. Kelly owes $4.8 million in back taxes, reports TMZ. Between the years of 2005 and 2010, Kells reportedly never paid his taxes, though his rep insists that he’s making good on it now: “R. Kelly is in the process of working everything out with the government and is confident that all his obligations will be satisfied.” Kells was already planning to release more chapters from his Trapped In The Closet series, but now it might be a financial necessity. He’s also got a cruise, a book and two albums (Black Panties and Write Me Back) dropping this year, so we think he’ll be able to scrounge together the money somehow.
