Jessica Sanchez May Join The Fourth Season Of ‘Glee’

American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez might not be releasing an album anytime soon — though she has a developmental deal with 19 Recordings, she hasn’t been given an advance to record a full album — but the 16-year-old might have something even better in the works. Sanchez is nearing a deal to join the fourth season of Glee, reports TV Line.

There’s no details on what role Sanchez would play, or if she would be a McKinley High School student or be joining Rachel at the New York Academy for Dramatic Arts. She would also join in the middle of the season, once her commitment to the Idols Live tour wraps up.

Scoring a supporting role on Glee might not seem as great as getting the chance to record an album right off your time on American Idol, but honestly, it’s way better. Albums from former Idols are hit or miss on the charts, whereas Glee is pretty much a sure thing at this point.

Are you excited at the possibility of hearing Jessica belt out some tunes back on Fox every week? And are you already imagining the amazing diva-offs between Jess and Lea Michele like we are?
