Adam Levine Says He Doesn’t Hate Christina Aguilera, Performs “Payphone” On ‘Jimmy Fallon’

Adam Levine pulled double duty on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night (June 28). Before busting out a performance of “Payphone” with Maroon 5, the singer — aka “Mr. Big Time”, as Jimmy calls him – sat down to discuss his new acting career in American Horror Story and upcoming film Can A Song Save Your Life (from the creators of Once, the 2006 Dublin-set musical movie which spawned the lovely duet “Falling Slowly”). Though Levine has barely any acting experience, he says he gets a lot of practice on The Voice, pretending that he doesn’t absolutely loathe certain contestants’ performances.

The tattooed 33-year-old also spoke of his love of fellow Voice coach Christina Aguilera. “We don’t hate each other. We really like each other, actually… We had a rough start,” Levine says of his rocky relationship with Xtina. “We both were diva’d out a little bit… it’s a love fest, and it’s all good.”

Think he’s being genuine, or just flexing his acting chops again? While you decide, check out the band’s performance of “Payphone”, off their new album Overexposed.
