Norah Jones Cuddles Up With Ted

Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane is an unapologetic lover of big band tunes, as evidenced by his 2010 album Music Is Better Than Words and his penchant for always having his cartoon characters burst out in an old-school song-and-dance. So when it came to creating an original tune for his debut feature film Ted, it makes sense that the song, “Everybody Needs A Best Friend”, would also be a cheery number with a full orchestra. Songbird Norah Jones adds her delectable vocals on the track, though she’s entirely missing from the video, which instead features footage from the box-office hit.

The Ted soundtrack is out now, and also features songs by Queen, 80s pop teen Tiffany and Hootie And The Blowfish. Seriously. [Via Stereogum]
