Nicki Minaj Gets Wild For “Pound The Alarm” Music Video Shoot

Nicki Minaj spent July 4th back in her native Trinidad, but unlike fellow pop star Katy Perry, the Barbz spent it working on the music video for “Pound The Alarm”. “Rise and shine Trinidad!!!!!!! Time to shoot #poundthealarm,” the rapper tweeted on Wednesday. And just like the Roman Reloaded artist teased us with promises of a saucy video for “Starships”, she titillated us once again with talk of her latest creation. “The heat in Trinidad is on another level. O-o The girls in the vid are drop dead gorgeous & I’m not just saying it cuz I’m from here! :p,” Nicki said.

Unlike her Hawaiian luau romp in “Starships”, the “Beez In The Trap” rapper went full-on carnivale. (Is anyone else reminded of Rihanna riding a float in Barbados last summer for Kadooment Day?) Watch a clip of the craziness on Nicki on set below.

Always on her grind, shorter after wrapping the shoot the BET Awards performer was already thinking about her next visual installment: “Who wants a video for ‘I am your leader’?” she tweeted.

Work it, Nicki!
