Beyonce often feels the inspiration to blog when she’s emotionally moved by another artist — she took to her official site to post heartfelt tributes to Donna Summer, Robin Gibb and Whitney Houston when news broke of their deaths. This weekend, the pop star found a more positive reason to write on her site: she posted a poem in response to her friend and collaborator (he penned 4‘s “I Miss You”) Frank Ocean bravely sharing his story of falling in love with a man when he was 19 years old.

“Be Fearless / Be Honest / Be Generous / Be Brave / Be Poetic / Be Open / Be Free / Be Yourself / Be In Love / Be Happy / Be Inspiration,” reads the sentiment, posted over a black-and-white shot of Ocean.

Bey’s tribute comes days after her husband Jay-Z expressed his support of Ocean (who contributed vocals on two tracks off Watch The Throne) by posting a lengthy thank you letter on his website, Life + Times, written by Hova’s Decoded co-author Dream Hampton.
