Maroon 5 (and Christina Aguilera) heated up the airwaves last summer with their chart-topper “Moves Like Jagger”, and the Adam Levine-led band has proven to be an unstoppable force this year, as well, thanks to “Payphone”. In fact, we’re now delivering the news that the Wiz Khalifa-featuring pop track has been officially voted the 2012 Song Of The Summer by Idolator readers. It captured 39% of the vote in the poll we posted last week, as opposed to the results of M5’s following competitors: Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “Call Me Maybe” (28%), Katy Perry‘s “Wide Awake” (17%), Justin Bieber‘s “All Around The World” (9%) and Usher‘s “Scream” (7%).

So well done to Adam & company — in a certain way, you’ve more than lived up to your latest album’s title! And to those of you who agree or disagree with the results of this year’s Song Of The Summer race, let us know your thoughts below, or by hitting us up on Twitter and Facebook!
