The closing ceremony of the upcoming London Olympics will boast performances by a virtual Who’s Who of British pop artists, according to leaked documents. During a reported televised two-hour musical extravaganza on August 12, artists such as Take That, Jessie J, One Direction, Tinie Tempah, Pet Shop Boys and even The Who will make up just a fraction of the lineup. Also said to be on the roster: Russell Brand, who will take a cue from ex-wife Katy Perry by singing (!!) with Absolutely Fabulous creators Jennifer Saunders and Dawn French, and a catwalk strut of models led by Kate Moss.

UK paper the Daily Mail was the recipient of the supposed leaked documents, which apparently note that Ed Sheeran, Kaiser Chiefs, Fatboy Slim and Annie Lennox are also set to perform.

And then there’s this:

The opening moments of the ceremony will see models of London’s landmarks including Big Ben, the London Eye and St Paul’s Cathedral covered in newspaper and unwrapped by a cast of hundreds.

The scene is based upon the capital’s rush hour and will have around 300 people hurrying around on cars, scooters and bicycles while lollipop ladies direct traffic and workers drill the roads.

Then, in a routine inspired by the film The Full Monty, the lollipop ladies will strip to reveal Union Jack swimsuits to a rendition of the National Anthem.

Lollipop ladies? Cheers!

The organizing committee told the Mail that they had no comment, as they want the lineup to remain a surprise.
