Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day may have been called off last year because of Hurricane Irene, but the annual event will be back next month, and it promises to be a “good time” — not the least of which because it boasts Carly Rae Jepsen and Owl City on the performance lineup. The festivities kick off during the US Open on August 25 at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y. Also on tap to belt out some kiddie-friendly fare: UK heartthrobs The Wanted. Well, make that slightly kiddie-friendly. We’re guessing they’ll opt not to explain the real meaning of “Glad You Came” to the crowd that day. Yeah, that would be bad.
