Dancing dominated the 2012 Emmy nominations for Outstanding Reality Show Competition this year, as both So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing With The Stars snagged nods. But The Voice was also heard enough to make an impression, and was the lone singing competition (from a pool of many) listed among the six series up for the award. (Better luck next time, The X Factor!)

Other music-adjacent nominations: entertainment mogul Ryan Seacrest, one of the few mainstays left on American Idol, is up for Best Reality Show Host, while Dot-Marie Jones is once again among those recognized in the Outstanding Guest Actress In A Comedy category, for her role as the loveable but troubled Coach Shannon Beiste on Glee. (The Fox musical dramedy is also nominated for Outstanding Cinematography and Outstanding Makeup For A Single-Camera Series.) [Via Emmys.com]
