Earlier in 2012, Spice turned 15. In December, a musical inspired by its greatest hits, Viva Forever, is set to debut in London. For now however, rumors about a Spice Girls reunion performance are currently reaching a fever pitch.

In a radio interview on Wednesday, Victoria Beckham discussed how her past as Posh Spice still affects her life today. “I’m so respectful of my past. I love all the other girls; we have fantastic fans,” she said, adding, “And who knows. Maybe something else with the Spice Girls — I would love nothing more. It would be great.”

Sources involved with both the ceremony’s creative team and close with the group itself say that the Spice Girls are “95 percent” confirmed to appear. If true, the Spice Girls would share the stage with George Michael, the Who and Jessie J in closing the Olympics on August 12, as initially proposed over two years ago.

“If they’re up for something, then I certainly am,” Beckham said. After all, as they once famously said, friendship never ends.
