Snoop Dogg Reinvents Himself As Snoop Lion, Drops New Reggae Song “La La La”

Snoop Dogg spent a significant amount of time recently in Jamaica, and his stay on the island has had quite an effect on him — today he unveiled his new rap moniker, Snoop Lion, and a new reggae track “La La La”, from his approrpiately titled new album Reincarnated. As we’re pretty sure there are no lions or jungle cats running around Jamaica, we’re assuming the name change has something to do with courage or bravery or really, who knows what. We’re mostly confused by Snoop transforming from a dog person into a cat person.

The lion is the most popular symbol in reggae and Rastafarian culture, so… the name change for his foray into Jamaican music will make total sense to those in the world that are not as clueless as the writer of this article. Were you actually paid to write this, Becky Bain???
