Courtney Love Tweets About Her Vagina In Response To Lana Del Rey’s Nirvana Cover

After Lana Del Rey covered the seminal, abrasive Nirvana hit “Heart-Shaped Box” in Sydney last week, we asked if the band’s late frontman Kurt Cobain would have approved. One thing we didn’t have to ask was how his widow Courtney Love felt about it, because we knew she would soon voice her (probably outlandish) thoughts on the matter, unprompted. Like clockwork, today (July 30) Love fired off a series of vagina-centric tweets aimed at the NirvLana cover.

Tweeting to Lana, Love confirmed a longstanding rock legend: “you do know the song is about my Vagina right? throw down your umbilical noose so i can climb right back umm”. That was followed by “on top of which some of the lyrics about my vagina i contributed”. (Do you think that’s how the Justin BieberSelena Gomez songwriting sessions will play out?) Love concluded her lecture on female anatomy of the ’90s with a simple request: “so umm next time you sing it, think about my vagina will you? lol xc”.

Also, let’s not forget this is the woman who called her band Hole. Turns out Courtney Love is even more obsessed with her ladyparts than the song about her ladyparts is, which may be why her daughter Frances Bean Cobain wants her banned from Twitter.
