Cher Lloyd Covers Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own”: Watch The Idolator Exclusive
In case you haven’t been paying attention, UK pop is coming back to the US in a really, really big way, and Cher Lloyd is one of the starlets at the front of this new British invasion. The 19-year-old pop star has come a long way from her days on the UK version of The X Factor (placing fourth, just behind One Direction), having performed at our Pray For Pop party at South By Southwest earlier this year and finally making her US TV debut on America’s Got Talent last week.
We’re happy to share an exclusive video of Cher’s recent gig at the Canal Room in New York City, where she offered a cover of Robyn‘s hit song “Dancing On My Own“. And even though she performed without disco lights or the Swede singer’s trademark platform shoes, we’ve got to say, we’re digging her stripped-down, acoustic version of the dancefloor anthem.
