Mariah Carey‘s “Triumphant (Get ‘Em)”, the lead single off her upcoming 14th studio album, is due to premiere in full at some point today. Ahead of that, you can hear about 30 seconds of Mimi’s Rick Ross- and Meek Mill-featuring mid-tempo track below.

Carey, of course, has plenty to feel triumphant about these days — not the least of which is being the proud mama of “dem babies” and her new American Idol judging gig. But a press release for the single reveals that the whistle-register songbird penned the tune while she was going through a rough time in her life. “Triumphant” was co-produced by Mariah’s longtime collaborators Jermaine Dupri and Brian-Michael Cox, and the song will be officially available to purchase on iTunes on Tuesday (August 7). Get an early taste after the jump.
