Coachella isn’t the only US music festival extending its brand throughout the globe. Now that the Chicago-set incarnation of Lollapalooza has ended its 2012 dates, organizers for have announced that the festival will be held in Tel Aviv, Israel next year, making Lolla the country’s first large-scale international music festival. At least we know the chance of Lolla being rained out is slim to none in a land that’s primarily composed of desert.

Lollapalooza Israel will take place August 20-22, 2013 at Tel Aviv’s Yarkon Park, the largest park in Israel that has previously hosted concerts from the likes of Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney. Besides Chicago, Lollapalooza festivals are also held annually in Chile and Brazil. [Via Billboard]
