What do you get when you mix Gwen Stefani with high fashion and a dose of Terry Richardson? Answer: Gwen in a giant couture Alexis Mabille flower hat on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar. In the mag’s Fashion Issue, the No Doubt front woman poses in everything from a bright Diane Von Furstenberg jumpsuit to an extravagant pink Alexander McQueen gown. And since Terry is behind the lens, the pop star is naturally lensed in front of a plain white backdrop.

For the September spread, Gwen opens up about the first time she went platinum blonde at 25: “It was like I’d unlocked the key. I remember feeling like, ‘I have arrived. This is me. Finally.'” And as for the secret to her couture-ready physique? “There is no secret: You just have to eat healthy, work out, and torture yourself!” Sounds fun.

The “Settle Down” siren also revealed how she’s managed to handle years of rumors and gossip, “None of that stuff matters. There’s something in me, being this passive person, that those kinds of things don’t upset me. I know they can say anything; they can just make something up. But what are you going to do? It’s not part of my reality, so it’s okay.”
