No Doubt Reveal ‘Push And Shove’ Album Cover

No Doubt has obviously learned from the days of their Gwen Stefani-spotlight-hogging “Don’t Speak” video, as each member of the band gets equal face time on the cover of their sixth studio album, Push And Shove (September 25). The black-and-white portraits of each bandmate (every one of them wearing a white tank) was photographed by street artist El Mac.

“His technique and ability is just mind blowing!” Stefani said of the painter and muralist. “The idea of him working with us on this record is classic.”

Head below to see a new webisode that details the creation of the band’s cover art.

This isn’t quite what we were expecting, as we assumed that the SoCal band would go bright and bold for their album cover (as they’ve done previously). Truth be told, we wish there was a splash of color in this. But what do you think? Let us know your thoughts on Facebook, Twitter, or in the comments below.
