We already know Cher‘s upcoming album is said to feature the long-awaited Lady Gaga duet “The Greatest Thing” and two songs written by Pink. But the pop matron got Burlesque fans’ bustiers into a knot by hinting that she’ll also be pairing up with her former co-star Christina Aguilera.

A fan asked Cher on Twitter why she doesn’t record a song with Xtina. The singer responded: “Ummm!!” When asked by another follower if she could hint what that response meant, Cher tweeted, “UMMM !!!!” She then tweeted, “Not say YES not say NO? Say HOPE ! Luv her!”

Later, yet another Cher fan (there are legions, folks) tweeted that the record company was going to have her head (in so many words) over hinting about the Aguilera pair-up. The legendary diva seemed to concur, as she tweeted back, “So Right! Hope i didnt fk it up! Xtina’s cool! What will b will B!”

Meanwhile, it turns out Midas-touch producer Timbaland is another famous name involved with Cher’s first album in a decade. “Just walked out studio. Finished Timbaland Song!LUV IT,” she raved.

This is possibly shaping up to be the all-star album of the year. Are you excited to hear what new material Cher comes up with? Let us know below, or by hitting us up on Facebook and Twitter!
