‘Sparkle’ Opens Tomorrow, So We’re Live Tweeting It!

As any Whitney Houston fan will tell you, Friday (Aug. 17) marks the release of the late pop icon’s final appearance on the silver screen in Sparkle. Simultaneously, it’s also American Idol alum Jordin Sparks‘ big movie debut. The film is a remake of the 1976 original and follows three sisters who rise to fame in 1960s Detroit, with Whitney playing their overprotective mother, Emma. While the reviews aren’t in yet, we’ve already got our tickets to Friday’s screening! Once again we’ll settle in to the back row of the movie theater — far from any other patrons — with smartphone in hand (a package of Red Vines in the other) as we live tweet the film. And you can join in with us!

We’ll be kicking off our session at 8:25 p.m. EST. And we promise not to spoil any of Sparkle‘s, well, sparkle or reveal anything that isn’t in the trailer. Till then, make sure to follow @Idolator on Twitter.
