As we’ve seen, Beyonce is fully on board with recognizing World Humanitarian Day this Sunday, August 19 — which is the same day her tie-in video for her 4 song “I Was Here” will premiere. Bey performed the tune for the United Nations on August 10, at which time she sat down with Anderson Cooper to discuss her participation in WHD.

“We all have our purpose, and we all have our strengths,” Beyonce told Anderson Cooper. “It feels so wonderful to do something for someone else. And I think for the U.N. to want to include the whole world was something important, and I feel like that’s what I represent.” Also taking part in the Cooper’s 360 interview was U.N. under-secretary-general and emergency relief coordinator Valerie Amos.
