Eons from now, when great scholars look back on the first century of rock and roll and dissect the recordings that challenged the way we think and influenced generations, there will be obvious standouts: The Beatles‘ “A Day In The Life”, The Rolling Stones‘ “Sympathy For The Devil”, Marvin Gaye‘s “What’s Going On” and  Nirvana‘s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” all come to mind. And now, finally, we have another addition to this illustrious canon: Wallpaper.‘s “Puke My Brains Out”.

We could sit here and wax on the song’s complex lyrics like “ass up, brains down, hold your hair back and listen to the sound” and “drop it to the floor, touch your tonsils and clear your head,” but, let’s just get to the music, shall we? (Listen close — above the party rock, Ricky’s sneaking in his commentary about the overwhelming cacophony of modern culture: “Prescription addiction to Internet porn / Generation of the living dead, trying to get born.”) Check it below.
